93/100 Peñin Guide
Dark cherry colour, bright cherry, aroma of ripe fruit, cabinetmaking, tobacco, sweet spices, black fruit. Spicy on the palate, ripe tannins, long, tasty, powerful, smoky aftertaste.
93/100 Andreas Larsson
Deep, deep purple core and tone. Intense dark fruit nose, with crushed blackberries, plum, cherry and blackcurrant, along with a vanilla and wood presence. Dense and concentrated palate, with plenty of dark fruit flavours, plenty of fine tannins that provide freshness and liveliness, with a long, muscular finish.
92/100 James Suckling
A fleshy, smooth red that presents notes of dark plums, walnuts and nutmeg on the nose, plus a hint of grilled mushrooms. Full-bodied, with ripe tannins and a creamy texture. Excellent integration. Drink now or store.
91/100 Tim Atkim
This is part of the Billon group, owned by the Pastor family. It is as dark as a young Port and the aroma is a little impenetrable, but the palate is good, with flowers and soft, supple tannins. It is impressive, commanding, but balanced. This wine was opened 12 hours before tasting, one of only two wines here that were tasted that long after opening.
